Nose Art on Authentic DC-3 Skin Panels;
Avionart delivered in England a custom painted panel as a Christmas
gift of a family to their father, a former aviation hero, who flew
a number of missions during the war over occupied Europe.
His RAF Douglas Dakota C-47 was decorated with the Varga Girl, as
depicted in this Newsletter.
The Family still had that picture and ordered a panel 180 x 100
cm for application on the skin.
The result, that you see here, was so impressive in total allure
and quality, that they ordered another, smaller panel 40 x 60 cm
, with the same picture for their own.
Our Airbrushing Artist is able to capture the finest details and
colorshades, with an impressive high quality artwork as a result.
Over the years, the original Nose Art that came preserved out of
the war, has gone since long into the museums and private collections.
We offer an alternative that comes closest to the authentic Nose
Art, by using original wartime made riveted Skinpanels of the Douglas
Dakota/ DC-3/ C-47.
You can deliver us your favorite design or picture and Avionart
cuts the panels to your required dimensions, we give all panels
a high gloss mirrorpolished finish and prepare/ frame it for wallmounting.
Finally, our artist will paint the picture in any size to your demand,
and a translucent layer will be applied on top, in order to protect
the artwork. |
