  2 new restaurants at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport display vintage airliner props and wings, all supplied by  Avionart. At the topfloor of Amsterdam Airport, with an excellent panoramic view over the platforms of  Schiphol Buildings 1 & 2, the new restaurant DAKOTA'S opened its doors early febr. 2003. On the other  side of Schiphol airport, we supplied the (Oude Toren) restaurant with an authentic DC-3 propeller.

 The themed restaurant displays lots of interesting posters and photographs of  the DC-3/ Dakota in the pre/post war years of the national Dutch Carrrier  KLM.
 Avionart supplied 5 Propeller assemblies, a DC-3 wing section, a Super DC-3  Vertical Stabilizer and cockpit instruments, all magnificently displayed.
 Those Beech 18 type props, now available as authentic props at Avionart  from stock, are a perfect fit in any interior, due to their practical sizes, low  weight and aluminum mounting bracket c.q. back cover plate for the view  from behind.

 Restaurant "de Oude Toren"
 On the east side of Amsterdam Airport, nearly on the place where the Old  Air Traffic Control Tower was placed, they have resurrected "de Oude  Toren ", now as a restaurant, next to the old platform where the DC-3,  DC-6, DC-7 and the Connie used to park in front of the old station  building.
 This restaurant displays a very fine fully mirror polished authentic DC-3  propeller, made by Hamilton Standard and supplied/mounted by Avionart on  a pylon.This Prop with an arc of 3,60 m (12 feet) looks maybe small when  on the DC-3 outdoors, but taken indoors, it is very impressive in  appearance.
 We have now one authentic DC-3 prop available from stock.
